I don’t have a medical background - can I still train as a GentleBirth Educator?

Yes! Many of our educators don’t have a medical background - they’ve experienced the power of GentleBirth themselves and decided to train as GentleBirth Instructors to share their love of positive birth in their communities.

Are there any Additional Fees?

There is a $50/month fee to be an active GentleBirth instructor. This change will take start to take effect for all instructors on February 2023. For new instructors they will be expected to pay the membership dues. The dues come with a lot of benefits discuss in detail here.

How long do I have to complete the training and how long does it usually take?

Learners have one year to complete full certification and most students finish in 8-10 weeks.

Can I set my own class fees?

Yes.
Are there any geographical restrictions?

No.

Are you allowed to say GentleBirth or blended class?

You are allowed to add additional topics to the curriculum but not subtract from it if you wish to call it to advertise it as GentleBirth class. You are also allowed to create any additional resources to help you teach the subjects covered in the in this PDF. You also have to be an active GentleBirth instructor and your certification to the class attendees.
